In the Massage Therapy Program, you’ll be trained in sport and medical massage, so you can pursue a career in a variety of healthcare, rehabilitation settings, and/or spa settings. You’ll receive focused training from passionate professionals, setting you up to succeed in the massage therapy profession.
Broaden the scope of your career options! Our focused program will teach you
clinical massage, including approximately eighteen different modalities. Learn how to treat musculoskeletal pain and disability, and increase joint mobility for patients leaving them with tangible results. With IWC, you’ll be equipped to go beyond relaxing patients and treat their mobility issues as well.
At IWC you don’t have to change your life to Change your life! The massage therapy program is 50 weeks, attending classes only 1.5 days per week coupled with approximately 6.5 hours of online work. It consists of 900 hours of foundational massage and advanced clinical modalities. You will receive the theoretical framework and practical skills needed to excel as a Massage Therapist, all while keeping things flexible for your other commitments in life like family and work.

A key element of your training at IWC will be practicing massage techniques in a real clinical setting. In our student clinic, you will work with real clients while being supervised by our instructors. There you will gain confidence and experience the rewarding feeling of helping others with your newly-developed skills. Clinic will begin during your second quarter and run through the end of the program.
Our convenient learning approach enables students to learn the way that works best for them. Through 24/7 electronic access to lecture materials, assignments and videos, you can study thoroughly and as often as needed. While, only basic web navigation is required to be successful in IDL curriculum; IWC has an IDL specialist on staff to help support students throughout the program. Students and Staff interact together on the LMS via multiple avenues such as group chats, direct messaging, and forum discussions.
During the program, you will attend classes on campus one day per week, as well as gain valuable clinical experience during a weekly 5.5-hour shift at the Student Clinic.
Unlike other institutions that teach massage from a theoretical perspective, IWC emphasizes a hands-on program that prepares you for success in your new career. You will have hands-on work in in your first week focusing on body posture and draping. We also focus on student massage techniques that support joint and muscle movements to ensure the students' physical well-being is considered as much as the clients'.
Our program meets and exceeds the educational requirements for the national certification exam (MBLEx) and for licensure in the state of Indiana. Our above-and-beyond training standards and commitments result in an optimal learning environment. Through the passion of our engaging instructors and specialized curriculum, we help you put your best foot forward into your career. The state-wide average passing rate for the MBLEx is 74% on the first attempt. At IWC, the average passing rate is 93%* on the first attempt.

IWC is not an open enrollment college and seeks to enroll 'graduates' not students. The mission of IWC is to pursue excellence in compassionate, clinical, client focused leaders in integrated Wellness Careers; therefore IWC looks for individuals striving for excellence, dedication and commitment. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent is required for enrollment at Indiana Wellness College.
