Learn Hands-On In Our Student Clinic

A key element of your training at IWC will be practicing massage techniques in a real clinical setting. In our student clinic, you will work with real clients while being supervised by our instructors. There you will gain confidence and experience the rewarding feeling of helping others with your newly-developed skills. Clinic will begin during your second quarter and run through the end of the program.

Convenient Learning Approach

Our convenient learning approach enables students to learn the way that works best for them. Through 24/7 electronic access to lecture materials, assignments and videos, you can study thoroughly and as often as needed. While, only basic web navigation is required to be successful in IDL curriculum; IWC has an IDL specialist on staff to help support students throughout the program. Students and Staff interact together on the LMS via multiple avenues such as group chats, direct messaging, and forum discussions.

During the program, you will attend classes on campus one day per week, as well as gain valuable clinical experience during a weekly 5.5-hour shift at the Student Clinic.

Unlike other institutions that teach massage from a theoretical perspective, IWC emphasizes a hands-on program that prepares you for success in your new career. You will have hands-on work in in your first week focusing on body posture and draping. We also focus on student massage techniques that support joint and muscle movements to ensure the students' physical well-being is considered as much as the clients'.

Student To Faculty Ratio

What makes IWC different from other schools is our instructor-to-student ratio. Each instructor looks after no more than 13 students – meaning you will know your instructors and develop supporting relationships as you move through the program.

Prepare For National Certification

Our program meets and exceeds the educational requirements for the national certification exam (MBLEx) and for licensure in the state of Indiana. Our above-and-beyond training standards and commitments result in an optimal learning environment.
